All suits of Four represent exposing of negative qualities – feeling of loss, fear of loss, isolation or failure (in any sphere –material-pentacles, emotional-cups, psychological – swards…) Four is fear of something coming into living presence – or manifesting your fears.

Four as numerical value corresponds to earth element, grounding, limited choices, limited in the physical world, practical approach, focus on the material. It also can mean: lesson of healing (or letting go of negative traits or attitudes.)

In traditional Tarot, Four of suits is depicted as a sitting in deep contemplation man, who doesn’t notice the cup offered him from a cloud. The meaning is – you are missing good opportunities, when you are in state of sadness, self-reflection, meditation. In another hand, this card is quite positive and shows you already have much to be grateful, just you need to focus your attention on it. Meaning: meditation, reevaluation of something, disappointment, feeling sad, not motivated, discouraged. Being afraid, unwilling to show your emotions, restlessness. Time alone. 

This card indicates also just a period of time that will be over, after you gather your power.

Spiritual message: be thankful for what you have in the present.
