Esoteric Astrology - Planets of Shadow in your Natal chart (with AA Haniel)

 This is part 2 from the article about planets of power and planets of shadow.  *

Now we continue to understand what are the "planets of shadow” in our natal chart – they will be points of shadow of the soul, indicating weaknesses, struggle, challenges, where we could hold back, where we are disempowered. These planets are found in the following places:

1. Planet of shadow will be directly opposite of your sun 

– You can allow 3 degree orbis. For example, my natal sun is in the 11 house Libra - so that means my planets of shadow should be in the opposite house -5 Aries (if you have any planets in Aries, they will be considered shadow). Here I don`t have planets, but I can see where is the ruler of my 5 house - Mars. I find it in my 9 house and it is alone there. That will indicate that my planet of shadow is Mars. In the same time my house of shadow" is fifth house Aries, which means I need to put extra efforts to claim the benefits and gifts of this house. (and this will be related to the themes of the 5 house - children, romantic relationship, creative projects, joy). And the sense of being in the spotlight, which may be not easy for me. Then I can check any aspects that Mars makes with my Sun or Ascendant - positive or negative. In this way I will understand how to work with my shadow self and Mars energy. 

2. Second planet of shadow is directly opposite of my ruler planet (of my sun sign). 

 As I`m Libra sun Venus is my planet of power. So I see that my Venus is in 12 house Scorpio, 13 degree;  In case I have any planets (or asteroids) in 6-th house Taurus – they will be “under shadow”. I have here my Chiron wounded healer asteroid - 12 degree in Taurus, and this position makes it in shadow. That means I could have wounded inner child” which will be very hard to heal through my life. Also, the planet ruling my 6 house (Taurus) is also Venus. which means my Venus in Scorpio is like double edge sword in this position and she can be very strong and very weak in the same time. 

3. The third planet of shadow is in opposition of any planet on MC (Midheaven)

–I have pluto, conjunct MC conjunct my Sun (Libra) – that means the shadow planet, if I have such, should be in the lowest point – IC. I don`t have here any planet -which is great. But the IC house will be the house of shadow for me, I have here my 4th house (family, home, parents relationship). 

4. The final planet of shadow will be exactly opposite of the natal Moon

 – In this case my moon is in Scorpio (conj. Venus) in 12 house – that means I need to look at my 6 house Taurus. I have only Chiron asteroid in opposition here. This Chiron will weaken the power of my moon in any case and may create pain, sorrow and heavy emotions, or inability to express your emotions. 

So, in conclusion – I have two planets of shadow which are Chiron asteroid (6 house) and Mars (9 house). But all the houses that in opposition of my power houses, will be my spheres of shadow. 

My houses of shadow, that I need to put more efforts or to pay attention to any situation of trap and illusionment are: 5 th - romance, creative energy, 4th - home, family, parents; 6th - daily routine, discernment, health and sport; and 9th - travelling to foreign places, education, believes, foreign people. 

But - have in mind that these are the spheres which will help me grow and evolve as a soul on my journey. 

 These 4 houses will indicate places of struggle, weaknesses, disempowerment and challenges for my soul too. 

For each soul there will be different planets and spheres of power and spheres of shadow – so you need to look into your natal chart.

          Moon in 7 House 💗

If your moon is in 7 house you had past life in a court system, working in judge, lawyer, attorney, anyone who defends the rights of people. You were person dedicated to your family and spouse; working in office of marriage, organizing events and celebrations, family adviser. In this house you could also have life as a fashion designer, or anything related to fashion. 

         Moon in 8 house 🌘

With this mystical moon position you had past life as detective, secret police, spy, you could have hidden mission, political spy, researcher, working on the back, working as night guardian; also – adviser and seller of properties; alchemist, in occult science, mystical writer, fortune teller, astrologer; Many aspects of your life were hidden.

Also, here you could have some forbidden profession related to sexuality and pleasure; in some cases it can show homosexual inclination. (if moon is with Pluto, or Neptune).

           Moon in 9 house 🍁

Your moon shows past life as a priest, guru, spiritual teacher, person with strict believes, cardinal, anyone in religious system and hierarchy. Teacher in religion, missionary – like in Christianity, Buddhism or any religion. You could be world traveller, person who travels by ship, discovering new lands, writing about geography and cultures; person who makes maps and drawing maps and countries.

Writer of religious manuscripts. But you were connected with many different people from different cultures. According to other planets you could have defend your ideas and values in a negative way -with fights and wars.

           Moon in X house  📚

It shows past life of political leader, president, or director of big company; usually very rich and famous person; you could be singer, dancer, composer, artist, depending on other planets. But here it shows your own career and striving to go higher. This can be sometimes difficult position, as you can feel alone on the top, or without people who you can trust.

           Moon in 11 house  ✎

In this house moon feels more misunderstood, alone and can`t find good inner peace. In your past life you were person of justice, makes opposition to someone on power, you were activist, or someone who is unique, has advanced ideas and lives very different life from the social. You can be artist, painter, person of technology and machines, person of science, robots and computers; also – revolutionary, fighting for rights of people. You could have a “bad reputation”, being unaccepted in official circles – for example part of “impressionist movement”, or someone related to scandals like Frida Khalo. It shows big imagination and very creative person.

           Moon in 12 house 🔮

This moon is one of the most mystical and hidden from all, as it is in the house of Pisces (original). It will indicate your past lives as priest, high priestess, person who possess strong psychic ability, mystical knowledge and intuition; many past incarnations as monk or nun in any religion), monastery life, or life in isolation, in far away places, or excile.. (with some planetary aspects it can indicate also prisons). Here mostly you will have vows for celibacy from past lives, pursuit for purity, and strong need to be alone, or to be in quiet place. You will be inclined to spiritual practices of all kind, meditation, inner reflection, looking inward. Your spiritual development will be high priority. You were working in a temple in ancient times; but on the other side, you could have lives as poet, musician, dancer, or actor in a theatre. if Venus is here it can show you were woman with many lovers, enchantress, someone who had strong sexual energy and aura. The portal of the new moon opens on 13 November which is related with energy of Sun and Mars –they are the planets influencing this cycle together with Pluto, the ruling planet of Scorpio. 🌙

Scorpio moon represents the deep energy of our divine feminine, deep healing of trauma, recognizing our shadow and true self, understanding the truth about something, being open to psychic messages and wisdom. This new moon is a time of profound quieting the mind and opening to the vast field of Akashic records, while healing the past.

Write and answer these questions (or add your own) in a diary. This is powerful practice for cleansing fears and being in alignment with your Higher Self.
