Tarot Portions V - Queen archetypes

Here I present my understanding about archetypes of Queens in Tarot.
Generally all Queens represent feminine energy, or feminine qualities, abilities, appearance. They are linked with the major Arcana cards – II. High Priestess and III. Empress. These are the main basic archetypes of feminine characters. They have different attributes, light and shadow sides and different approach to life.

Queen of Wands ~

This queen represent the feminine aspect of Fire energy. Her qualities are – powerful, controlling, passionate, irresistible, femme fatale, jealous, flirtatious, active, social, open, confident, independent, loud, expressing, magnificent, draw attention, role model, likes to be in the spotlight. She can be also generous, giving, overbearing, or hypocritical at times, possessive, dominant. She has strong energy and motivation for work and can be excellent leader. This is the personage of feminine that can be expressed with III. The Empress – as she is in numerology of 3. – fire. Queen of wands doesn’t shy from social activities and loves adventures and to be surrounded with people.

Queen of Wands: Woman who is very powerful, has creative energy, she is passionate, independent, with courage, confident, with high sexual power, attractive; Taking charge, organizing your life, doing multiple activities with passion.

-        desire for new spiritual knowledge and practice;

-        Good health and vitality; need of physical exercises

-        Work: multitasking ability, you are flexible, creative

-        Card for pregnancy and conception

-     Love: be confident that you are attractive and now is a good time for a new relationship, and new partner;

High Priestess of Fire; Fire energy with feminine aspect. A bit controlling, jealous or dominant. She can manifest anything she wants in real life, specially love. 

Questions: What creative path you want to take? Which talents you want to develop?

Qualities to work on: strength, persistency, confidence; self-development; she is physically attractive; independent; devoted to people she loves and family. 

Self-care practice: take care of your passions and follow your goals and desires about carrier. You will have success. Make a small changes in your routine and schedule. Change your eating habbits, exercise or do yoga. Consider reading spiritual books. 

Her almost opposite side is:

Queen of Cups (water) ~

The character of queen of cups represents feminine energy of water element. She is solitary, quiet, dreamy, cute, loving and lovable, she is caring for others, compassionate, empath, love staying in her sacred space; She can be understanding, attractive, mysterious, with feeling from another world, clairvoyant, sensitive, with warm heart. She chooses with who to share her emotions, and is careful to select close friends. Queen of cups is psychic, feels attracted from invisible world, loves to day dream, have very creative imagination, but its not active or practical. She can listen to others, and be a good mentor, teacher. She has vivid imagination and feels drawn to arts – painting, crafts, music, poetry. She often likes to live in her own world, and she don’t afraid to be alone. This is a mysterious woman, that draws attention of men, but prefers to be away, or chooses carefully. This is the Queen represented by II. High Priestess (water energy).

Queen of Swards (air) ~

This is the queen representing the woman of mind and wisdom. Her qualities are – elegance, grace, wisdom, analytical thinking, likes circle of like-minded people, loves mindful people and all aspects of learning, education, languages. Her best challenges are connected with mindfulness, study, teaching, practicing. Writing can be her passion. She is also simple, enjoys beauty of little things, loves freedom and has creative energy. She is charming, even maybe not so desired as Queen of wands. She is also quite honest and open, which makes her not woman of mystery as queen of cups. She can be quite strict and serious, but she loves to be herself, and trust her intuition. Her best quality is gaining wisdom from observations.

Queen of Pentacles (earth)

Queen of Pentalcles represents the feminine qualities of earth and Pentacles. This queen is also the type of 3. Empress. She loves the earth, nature and life pleasures. She has also very sexual energy. She wants to feel safe and secure and indulge in luxuries of life. Queen of Pentacles is generous, friendly, devoted friend and mother, loves to have healthy diet, and loves to travel around to many interesting places. She is also social, reliable, loyal, sweet, and nurturing. She only lacks little depth of mind, but she is sincere and open with others and always tries to help. She is persistent, loves hand crafts, gardening or just managing activities of others in her castle.

     All queens express intuitive abilities, compassion, love and nurturing energy. They are different and the focus of Queen of cups or queen of swards can be more inward, while the focus of Queen of wands and Q. of Pentacles is more outward – or to others.

The interesting thing is each queen can and should gain energy, and qualities of another queen, different from her. That will enrich her experience, and help her understand aspects of her own self. That’s the process of personal growth and expansion of mind.

How to connect with Oracle deck? -II

II. How to connect with an Oracle deck?

         The oracle deck is like an amazing friend – that you can invite in your life, connect, have relationship, share things. Oracle will be in your service for many things, and specially for increasing your psychic gift of clairvoyance. The key is – the more you practice, the better you become. As with everything else. Few people came to the world with very special gift of clairvoyance that doesn’t need practice. And this is a gift. But all we are given the same, if we just choose to receive it, to improve it. Also psychic gifts need nourishment, care, love and dedication of energy. That’s why try and devote your time – the results may surprise you.

      For anyone who is already familiar with the oracle decks, he/ she knows how to deal with them. There are so many ways of cleansing and recharging the decks – more complicated and more simple, depending on your personal preferences. But any deck needs to be cleansed first when you take it (from post package or from the shop). The deck should know it enters your home, and that he works specially with you, not someone else. The first thing to do when you receive your deck is – to enjoy it! :) view each card slowly, review the guidebook, touch each card and carefully gaze in it. That is your first contact with the Oracle. Then shuffle the deck. You may try to pull a card right away or you may wait for later time.

Your deck will be cleansed – if you say just a simple prayer and invite your angels to work with you trough this deck, or (as in Doreen Virtues decks) you may just knock with your non dominant hand the back of the deck to cleanse its energy. I personally choose to light up a red candle (symbolizing the light and fire element),  and then make a circle with it above the deck in the air. Before that I say short prayer to the angels, while gently covering the deck with my left hand – like:

“ with the help and guidance of my angels, spirit guides, fairies, elementals (according to the deck energy) – and archangels Chamuel, Haniel, Gabriel, and my Higher self, I give blessings to this oracle cards. May it reveal true messages with love and wisdom and help me in my path of ascension and spiritual growth – for the highest good of myself and anyone involved in the readings. Thank you, and so it is.”

This is the whole ritual for introducing the deck to my energy and space. You can choose to cleanse your deck with frankincense, or a crystal (any clear crystal or selenite will be very effective). Do what you feel its right for you.

A very good approach is to sleep with the new deck – but for me “under the pillow” doesn’t work for many reasons. So I felt to put my deck near to my bed, on the night stand – but you can place it in any place in bedroom, or in front of mirror, and I place many crystals around it and one clear quartz above it. In this way the deck`s energy connects with my sub-consciousness and dreams in the night. And it really does, so don’t have doubt about that. So in the morning your deck is cleansed, recharged and connected and you can start working with it, and saying a short prayer before you start shuffling.

The Oracle (and Tarot) deck is like your very close friend, as he knows all your hidden secrets on very deep level. So the more you work with it, the more you look to it, love it and ask help from it, the more he will give you love and support in return. That’s how it works.

Its not a rule, but usually more “lonely” souls or people who like to spend time alone, contemplating, meditating and connecting with inner peace, tend to be more attracted to oracle/ tarot cards. Some even start to be “obsessed” by having many cards and create huge collections. That’s of course very good and wonderful thing – but have in mind –in any collection intention is to “increase” so the spiritual work, cleansing, recharging and connecting with all decks will be much harder –or impossible. Any collector chooses to have just a few decks that are in handy to him, and just “keeps” another as a part of his memory or collection. So there is no need to hurry to possess many decks, even if you feel attracted to. Slow down. Work with all cards that you have, love them and dedicate time to readings. Then they will give you the same – true messages.

Connection with a deck will need some time, as any other relationship – for me I spend around 9-10 days with one deck after recharging it, in form of daily drawing cards for meditation. One daily card practice is very useful if you want to create deep connection with the deck and understand its essence. Each day you draw just one card – then look to the image, see how it feels, what speaks to you, what are the colors, what are the symbols and general impression. Then write it down in a card journal. In such way you will have 10 cards observation. Reading the guidebook for me is also obligatory in the beginning, even if I don’t use it after that. The most important is the energy from the deck to become closer and familiar to your energy, to your home atmosphere and your psychic qualities. Then you can be sure your readings are accurate.

Oracle decks have more open codes” and variety of different programs compared to Tarot decks, which have already archetypal interpretations and meaning. So both are very useful for your clairvoyance. But in order you to become really good, you cant stay only in “one card reading”. Then you may start to practice simple three card reading, in order to feel relations between cards in the deck. See what will happen, try to read for many different people – regardless who – your friends or family, just to practice. In such way you can have self-lessons on how the cards are related and what are the messages you can read. What are the weak points in that readings and what you feel? Just after this second period you can proceed with bigger spreads of 5, 6, 9 or 10 cards.

And you are invited to use your imagination! Be creative –don’t depend only on the spreads in the book – make your own spreads –they will work specially for you, even if they can look strange for someone.

How to connect with Oracle deck -I

In this article I`ll reveal some of the aspects of deeper connection with an Oracle and Tarot cards. Some people are more attracted to the beautiful, artistic and vibrant images of the cards, and also to their amazing power to “read and see” the reality and the future. How this is true and how it happens I`ll try to reveal now.

~ What is an Oracle/ Tarot deck?

      Oracle cards are tools to recognize, connect and open to our psychic abilities. Anyone has some of the psychic gifts – in a latent state, as it is given by nature. But not everyone want to use it, or feel attracted to use this gift, or even believe it is possible. Oracle and tarot cards are not only a tool for deeper psychic connection, but they are in some way alive. They are a very special spiritual tool, that connects with the deeper levels of our sub-conscious mind and exposes what is there. You can be a fan of Oracle and Tarot decks and readings even if you are not on the path of spiritual ascension – as you may find it just interesting or curious. But the truth is – more likely people who want to develop consciously their psychic gifts and clairvoyance –will use the power of cards. 

One common misconception of the oracle cards is, they were just tool for “predicting the future, looking to the unknown, the other side” or that they are “magical instruments of the devil or demons”, that they hold negative energy…None of these is truth. Just opposite – oracle cards and Tarot – if used in a positive direction can be tool for spiritual awareness, and can truly open your Third eye and help you see clearly.

The reading cards are much like any other elements (what I call elements) like crystals, trees, essential oils, flowers, colors…Just they are different as they are made from human imagination and mind and are not natural. Even so, Oracle cards when chosen and worked well would uplift our energy, and they hold inside specific energy, related to the messages.

This special energy comes from the Intention that is put in the deck. And here comes the clue – if the cards are with positive messages and with intention to help you expand your mind, then also you will receive positive results. And opposite – if cards have very dark energy, then the result will not be positive on your aura – but even so they can relate and connect well with your Third eye. In both cases they will improve your clairvoyance – but the results after that improvement will be different!

That’s why is important to be careful when you choose your oracle and Tarot decks. Let your intuition, artistic taste and some angelic help guide you. Oracle cards are great, but not everyone will connect with them on deeper level.

That is so because of the fact that the deck has “separate life” after it comes to you – it has a program. Like: Oracle of the Lightworker” by Alana Farchild is dedicated to people who are Light workers and on the path of ascension; Oracle of “Shadows and Light” by Lucy Cavendish has the aim to connect with certain aspects of your shadows and reveal your hidden qualities, in such way achieving self-improvement; “Oracle of the mermaids” has the aim to connect you with the amazing ethereal realm of mermaids and water element…and so on. So the program of oracle cards are clear by their title and cards images, as well as from the messages on cards and the guidebook.

That’s how – oracle cards are in fact “separate energetic” creatures, that can connect with you, and like you, depending on your own attitude to them. You cant work effectively with an oracle if you simply don’t like it! It wont reveal anything. People who don’t believe in power of Oracle (or in their own psychic abilities) wont work with oracle cards. Yes?
