                                   1. Family (Star)

Keywords: support, roots, tradition

There is nothing like coming home for the holidays. Your immediate family are the ones who have known you since birth and have been with you through the boo-boos, graduations, birthdays and celebrations. They have been there through the good times and the bad. Sometimes coming home to the people who know you well is all you need to chase away the blues of life.

There is also the family you choose. The ones who, despite a lack of blood relation, have accepted you as one of their own, and you have done the same for them. True family will love you as you are and won`t try to change you. The assortment of different personalities somehow fit together and within this familiar space traditions and values are born.

This card guides you to honour your beliefs, traditional heritage. Now is not a time to improvise, change things up or try something new. This card advices you to return to the basics and build a stronger foundation for yourself. That could mean returning to school or joining organization with well established rules and principles, or seek out a mentor who knows the ins and outs of your goals. You can`t break the rules until you know what the rules are. A period of study and observation will serve you well at this time.

Is this something you wish to see in your life next year, or in five or ten years? Are you making choices that align with where you imagine yourself to be?

(…) She didn’t walk into this space as the master : her relationship with her craft bloomed and evolved over time.

Do you shout out loud for every single movement, frustration or challenge happening in the world? Many people ask questions as these every single day wondering how to make a difference in a world that seems to be crumbling apart. (…) You might wonder how to make a difference in the world, while also making a difference in yourself. Perhaps there is so much you would like to accomplish in your personal life but, just as in saving the planet or speaking up for social injustice, you aren`t sure where to start. The answer is to give where you can.

Perhaps you can`t save entire spices of birds all by yourself, but you can put out birdseeds to support the feathered friends in your area. It may not seem like much, but every little step is a step in the right direction.

The same is true when it comes to your goals and healing your wounds: do what you can when you can. Perhaps all you can do today is to spend 5 minutes brainstorming an idea, but that means you have deposited 5 minutes towards pushing the needle forward.
